BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Auto Club Famoso Raceway welcomes Good Vibrations
Motorsports as title sponsor for the 2015
March Meet, March
5-8, 2015. The budding partnership was initially announced at the 2014
NHRA California
Hot Rod Reunion in
October to the drag racing press corp and excited fans.
The World renown March
Meet has attracted
visitors from all across the globe and Good Vibrations Motorsports owner
Jim Maher has committed the aftermarket company to a two year
sponsorship of the March
Meet and the
Saturday
Night
Nitro shows held
at Auto
Club Famoso Raceway.
"Partnering with the Auto Club Famoso Raceway was a very logical and
business-savvy decision", said Jim Maher, owner of Good Vibrations
Motorsports. "Our core market of drag racers and fans, both domestic and
international, either attend or follow the hot action at this famous central
California race facility. We are looking forward to setting up an
interactive hospitality area at selected events, including the March Meet
where we can entertain customers, promote new products and empower fellow
supercharged enthusiasts with technical knowledge".
The
Good Vibrations Motorsports March Meet is
a 4 day festival of drag racing held every year in March. Funny Cars,
Dragsters and Altereds as well as hundreds of racers in other classes
will come from around the Nation and around the World to compete at the
revered Auto
Club Famoso Raceway.

Meet”, proclaimed Blake Bowser, VP and GM of the Kern County Racing
Association. “The support from Good Vibrations Motorsports will allow us
to take the March Meet to a whole new level. We are now able to begin
promoting the event earlier and on a much broader level. I think the
partnership is a great fit and we are looking for great things to come
of this relationship.”
Good Vibrations Motorsports will also sponsor the Saturday
Night Nitro shows, June
27 and September
19. These one day events have proved to be extremely popular with
drag racing enthusiasts and car fans looking for weekend fun. Funny
cars, fuel altereds, dragsters and cars from all classes will be
competing under the stars.
Race fans can purchase a “Event Pass” for $100 online until Jan. 1st.
Price will increase to $125 after the first of the year. There are also
specially priced passes for three days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday:
$100) and two days (Saturday and Sunday: $65).
Walk up tickets for the event will go on sale March 5, 2015 at the track.
Ticket prices are $30 for Thurs., Mar. 5; $30 for Fri., Mar. 6; $35 for
Sat., Mar. 7; and $35 for Sun., Mar. 8. Tickets for children ages 6-12 are
$10 each day and kids 5 and under get in free when accompanied by an adult
with paid admission.
Other prices include, camping: $125 for all four days; VIP parking: $50
(good for the entire event); and VIP four-day Quarter Mile Courtyard
seating: adults $165, children $105 (space is limited).
The Kern County Racing Association operates Auto Club Famoso Raceway
(just north of Bakersfield, Calif.) and promotes a full schedule of
races year round, including the world famous March Meet, which is
recognized as the Mecca of nostalgia drag racing. For more details,
